maxd is a data warehouse and visualisation environment for genomic expression data. It is being developed at the University of Manchester by the Microarray Bioinformatics Group.

maxdView is a modular visualisation environment designed to integrate existing analysis and display tools and to facilite the development of new tools.

maxdView has an extensive built-in help system which describes every feature of the system, includes a series of tutorials for users and developers and also provides full details of the programming interface which can be used to customise and extend the environment.
